I got word, late in the week, that a few of the guys were
gathering at Les Gibbens' house for an impromptu Build n Bull....
As always there was lots of great food, LOTS of laughs..... and even a little model building going on!
Les spent the afternoon messin' with the new Revell Mercury.....
Actually, there were several Revell Merc projects on the tables
(I think that everybody in our group has at least one in progress)
One thing that Les is doing, is reworking the box skirts that come with the kit,
making them a little more "stylish".....
A small change, which makes a BIG difference, IMHO!
Frank LuQue contemplates which of his many projects to work on..... Decisions, decisions, Frank!
Here's a look at Frank's Revell Merc project......
Photos just don't do this car justice!
One of Frank's other projects at the moment is a rebuild of this '70 Chevy for Frank Leisnig....
The Chevy's twin turbo induction system, which is evidently a kit item, is VERY cool!
Speaking Frank Leisnig, as always he brought along several cool, rare, old pieces for us to drool all over....
Including this MPC '32 Chevy panel truck and AMT Model a sedan.......
And an unbuilt Monogram "Unreal Roller" kit!
New to the group, was Ken Kellner..... This guy builds some KILLER stuff!!!!
Another of Ken's projects is this '64 Ford four door.... What an awesome conversion!
I didn't get any pics of my project for the day, but here's a shot of some of my most recent
completions and projects that I brought along to show the guys.
There were a couple of other of the guys present, but unfortunately I didn't get pictures of their projects.
I've said it before and I'll say it again..... "Build N Bulls are a HOOT"!!!!!
