yep George, i looked at every picture of your builds !!!!! they have given me ideas too lol. a question that i have is: i can't get the skirts to mount flush and i wondering if it due to the little ears on them, do i need to whack them off to have a flush fit?

Duane to chop that would be tricky but I would start by cutting B post at the top of the door. Then cut A and C post to the chop you want. Than move roof frward so A post lines up . Then about 1/8" behind the door I would cut body and move it forward to line up c post and just make it shorter then stock and cut b post to fit . This is how I did my 39 sedan Chevy I have posted in here

Duane, You can thin the little tabs down or even cut them off I cut the tabs off of skirts I used on another build and put a strip of 1/2 inch masking tape on the outside of the body where the skirt goes and fit the skirt that way BUT use regular model glue so you can adjust it just perfect as it dries don`t use super glue cause where you put it will be where it stays Hope this helps George
P.S. If you have any questions concerning any of my builds please let me know I~ll answer anything I can for you

Scott, there is a tutorial on another forum that i can follow and it sounds like what you're describing. tho the measurements aren't included(he cut across the roof in 2 places)i think that i can follow it and chop my other Fleetline. he cut exactly at the center of the "B" pillar then a ways behind it(no measurement). he then cut just above the trunk line from the back of one rear window to the other(again, no measurement)removed the sliver and slid the top down and in place. my question is: how close to the rear window should i get to make that cut?(again, no measurement). he then shimmed the "A" pillars on the windshield side to bring them to into alignment. he did some sanding or a small amount of cutting to section the roof he said. i didn't understand what he meant and couldn't see where he did it. Randfink told told me that if i ruin it, i ruin it. he's right, if i do, i can always cannibalize it and use pieces on other builds.
George, when i can, i'm going to sit down and take notes on your builds and yes, i will have questions lol. the glue that i am using is maxi-cure extra thick 10-15 sec. glue. is that too quick? it seems to me to take even longer.

Duane, Questions about my builds are fine secrets? well................. I dunno about that LOL as far as the glue to use I~d use the liquid model cement like I suggested BUT you can use what you want I~d rather be sure tho in placement than quick and have to cut it off to re adjust it Its your call George
