It was the weekend before Labor Day in 1969, when an 8 year old from Illinois saw a big block Chevy
powered VW bodied funny car called the "Durachrome Bug", race at the "World Series of Drag Racing"
in Cordova, Illinois and an obsession was born!
When I finally got around to building the model that I had always wanted to build of the car, it took me over 15 years of working on it off and on.... not to mention parts from over 20 different kits!
