i bought these the first of this month. i have an idea for each one but i need to research to know if my ideas will work. i'm thinking of building one of the matched set of The Dodge Chargers race team and building the other as a Top Fuel Dragster with a few personal touches.

i'm a slow builder due to my CP Scott but, i'll show pictures as these builds progress. do you know who the Dodge Chargers were? i've loved those cars from the very first instant that i saw them. IMHO, they are the MOST BEAUTIFUL race cars EVER built !!!! they are not the Ramchargers either. they were driven by Jimmy Johnson and Jimmy Nix and had a couple of custom touches and paint work by Dean Jeffries. they were the pre-cursor of the Funny Car of today.

They were beautiful cars. The hard part will be finding color pictures for reference. I just saw pictures of a model of one of the cars but I don't remember if it was in a Mag or one of the message boards I visit. Good luck, keep us up to date on your progress!

There's a nice blown 426 wedge in the double Tony Nancy kit that would be a good start for your mill!

Nad, are you looking for some reference pictures on the Dodge Chargers? let me know cause i do have some. yep, there is a nice wedge in that kit but, the Dodge Chargers ran blown 440's. the kits each have dual quads on 440's but they aren't very detailed so i think i want to go with Ross Gibson engines for both. the only part i haven't found yet is a set of American mag rims. for the car that gets built as the T/F, i'm going to use aluminum rims. the T/F will also have an awesome look to it if i can do it right.

The kits have 426's, a wedge in the Color Me Gone and a Hemi in the Ramchargers car. The Dodge Chargers used stroked 426's [440c.i.] but 440's weren't availible in Dodges until 1966. Since both wedge engines were identical externally in scale they are the same.

No need to apoligize, just be sure to keep us updated. That's a project I've considered myself but I wasn't able to find any good color pictures. Keep me in mind if you need any parts. If it's something I have I'd be happy to contribute to such a cool project!
